RATES
The prices shown below are our standard rates. Our passion is to help local musicians make awesome sounding recordings, so ask us about a custom package deal for your project.
All rates include Mike as engineer.
TRACKING TIME:
$50 per hour (Engineer incl.)
MIXING:
$50 per hour
Hourly bookings for tracking and overdubs are charged at the above rate. The charge for a full eight hour day is $350. Additional hours are charged at $50 each. Setup and tear down must be included in an eight hour block or they are billed at the hourly rate. Ask about a package deal for your complete project, including tracking, mixing, mastering and production.
If you have recorded your material elsewhere and would like to have it mixed here at VCS, you can buy time at the above rate, or a day rate of $350.00. Ask about a package deal for your complete project, including tracking, mixing, mastering and production.
MASTERING:
$400 per album
If you have a complete mixed album and would like to have it mastered here, an album of 6 to 12 songs is $400.00. Ask about a package deal for your complete project, including tracking, mixing, mastering and production.
PRODUCTION:
10% upcharge on total cost
If you need assistance with decisions about musicians, instrumentation, recording techniques or any other production related services outside the session hours, Mike can act as producer and help guide your project in the right direction to get you the result you're looking for.
MUSICIAN SERVICES: 20% upcharge
If you'd like Mike to play on your project, whether acoustic bass, electric bass, or piano/keyboards, the upcharge is based on tracking hours only.
ARRANGING SERVICES: 20% upcharge
If you'd like Mike to write any arrangements specifically for your project, the upcharge is based on tracking hours only.
